Added Revenue

Added revenue is the total order value from carts where a shopper accepted an intervention and completed the purchase.

It's calculated from orders that converted through an intervention, and it includes taxes, shipping, and discounts as they appear on the final order — it doesn't adjust for any returns or refunds that happen afterward.

Added revenue answers "how much revenue came through this specific mechanism," not "how much revenue this mechanism is responsible for creating." That second, harder question is what attribution vs. incremental lift addresses, because some of that revenue might have happened anyway even without the intervention.

As a raw dollar figure, added revenue is sensitive to traffic volume and average order value, so it is most useful compared over time for the same store rather than compared across stores of different sizes.
