Intervention

An intervention is the specific action shown to a shopper who is likely about to abandon their cart, aimed at keeping the sale from being lost.

"Interventions shown" and "interventions accepted" are two separate counts in the same funnel — being shown an intervention and accepting it are different steps, and only some shoppers who see one go on to accept it.

An intervention can take different forms — a discount code, a message addressing a specific concern, a nudge — but the common feature across all of them is timing: it appears while the shopper is still present, before the cart is abandoned, not afterward.

Whether an intervention converts is tracked all the way through to the order, which is what prevention rate measures — accepting an intervention and completing the resulting order are two distinct events in the funnel, not the same thing.
