Prevention Rate

Prevention rate is the share of carts that saw an intervention and went on to become an order.

The formula is carts converted ÷ interventions shown, over a chosen period. It measures a completed outcome — the cart actually turning into an order — not an intermediate step like whether the shopper accepted an offer when it appeared.

Prevention rate shouldn't be read as a store-wide abandonment improvement on its own, because it only covers carts that actually saw an intervention. A shopper who left before an intervention could be shown, or a shopper who was never shown one at all, doesn't factor into this number.

Prevention rate is one of several named metrics on the NavonaAI dashboard, alongside interventions shown, interventions accepted, and added revenue — together they make up the prevention funnel.
